Ade Adeyemo, Liberal Democrat Candidate for Meriden

Ade Adeyemo, Liberal Democrat Candidate for Meriden

My name is Ade Adeyemo and I am the 2015 Liberal Democrat Candidate for the Meriden Parliamentary Constituency.

I have lived in the Borough for 18 years and I am passionate about our local area. This is a lovely place to live and work and I feel that we must work very hard to keep it that way.

I have been involved with the Liberal Democrats for several years now, starting off as a volunteer and helping to deliver leaflets for Lorely Burt.  I eventually took the plunge and became a fully paid up Member of my local party, the Solihull and Meriden Liberal Democrats.

Since January 2014, I have been Chairman of the local party, working with Lorely Burt, Councillors, Members and Volunteers to help local residents and businesses as best as we can.

I am a Chartered Civil Engineer and Risk Management Professional, working in the Insurance sector.  During my professional career, I have been involved in construction and management of major building and civil engineering projects in the UK and overseas

I used to be a keen rugby player, starting at school and moving on to University in Scotland. After I left university, I played for Andover RFC, Maidstone RFC and Birmingham & Solihull RFC.

I am now a (retired) Rugby Football Union (RFU) Referee and Adviser with the Warwickshire Society.

In my spare time I am a keen amateur photographer and a Presenter on Radio Sandwell. I am also actively involved in a number of local Voluntary and Community Associations.
